It’s a common myth that it costs to use a mortgage adviser.
In fact, the opposite is actually the case.
We don’t charge you for our service, because when we’re successful at getting you over the line, the banks pay us a commission which pays us for our time.
This means it’s in your best interest to use our expertise to help guide you through the process, plus maximise your approval and get the best deal, rather than try to figure it all out on your own.
So what do we do for you?
- We check all the bank’s policies, criteria and calculations to help find the bank that best fits you. This may be the bank that can lend you the most to help you achieve a better property. This could also be the bank that offers a particular loan structure, or it might be the bank that has a special product to aide first-home buyers or those building.
- We compare all the interest rates and offers going around to help you get the best interest rates and cash contributions from the bank. When you go direct to the bank, they often offer you the advertised interest rates, but how do you know if this is the best deal? We see all the bank’s offers, the special behind-the-scenes deals and what other banks are offering, so know where to get you the best deal and if you have been offered a good deal, or if we need to negotiate harder.
- We can help you structure your mortgage optimally. It’s a little-known fact that an optimal mortgage structure can save you more $ than a slightly better interest rate. The difference between 5.99% and 5.98% will save you $10 a year per $100,000 you borrow. The tips we can teach you on how to optimise your mortgage structure will save you $100s if not $1000s a year, so our advise can be very valuable to you.
Please note: At Mortgage A to Z, we don’t charge you an application fee for main bank applications.
Some mortgage advice companies do. However, please always read an adviser’s disclosure statement and question any fees you don’t understand.
A lot of non-bank lenders don’t pay us a commission. In this case you will often be charged an application fee. If this is going to be the case, this will be disclosed up front.
